Tush seeks Benz buyer!

When city doc Tush Wick says parting with her beloved car is 'a reluctant sale' - she means it!

Sri Lankan-born Tush plans to sell the gleaming Mercedes-Benz to raise money for the children's hospital she and husband Gary hope to build in the tsunami-stricken country.

Why the Merc has got to go!
It breaks her heart - but Dr Tush Wick says the Merc must go if she is to save her dream of building a children's hospital in tsunami-hit Sri Lanka.

Tush and builder husband Gary are heading out to her homeland later this month to begin work on the ambitious project.

They have been promised land and labour by the Sri Lankan government, provided they raise 25,000. A fund has been set up here and money is coming in, but we need it now," said Tush this week.

"That is why selling my car to the highest bidder. I will be sad to see it go but we are determined the hospital project will go ahead," she said.

The car is a 2001 Mercedes-Benz SLK 320 auto on a Y-plate. It is fully loaded with black leather, full electrics, xenon headlights, AMG Alloy wheels, cruise control, six speed gearbox and has done just 18,500 miles.

"It really is a lovely car," said Tush, who promises that every penny will go to the Milton Keynes Tsunami Appeal Fund.

And this week Charlie Ross, of Charles Ross Auctioneers, stepped in to sell the car at his next sale on Feb 17 at Old Town Hall, Woburn, waiving the commission and buyers fee. Catalogues will be available soon from them on 01525
